Scripture: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed…”2 Peter 1:19 (KJV)

***

So many voices speak today—media, culture, influencers, even preachers. But which voice can you trust?

Peter answers that question with clarity: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy.” He had seen Jesus glorified on the mount and heard God’s voice from heaven, yet he points to the Scriptures as more reliable than even that supernatural moment.

God’s written Word is the ultimate truth. It doesn’t shift with emotion, politics, or opinion. It is sure—stable, tested, and true.

We chase dreams, YouTube prophets, or emotional signs, but Peter says, take heed to the Word. Like a light in a dark place, it keeps us from stumbling. Prophecy is not just about predicting the future—it reveals God’s heart and purposes now.

Ignore the noise. Read the Word. Trust the Word. Live by the Word. It will not fail you.

Some people run from prophecy to prophecy, confused and fearful. Others stay rooted in Scripture. When trouble comes, it’s the second group that stands strong—because their hope is grounded in what God has already said.

Prayer

Lord, silence every voice that doesn’t align with Your Word. Help me take heed to the Scriptures and trust in what You’ve already spoken. Let Your Word be my light and my guide, to the glorification of Your Name. Amen.
